Selkirk Sport has announced the release of LABS Project Boomstik, a high-performance pickleball paddle designed to meet the sport’s increasing demand for explosive power and durability. The Boomstik introduces breakthrough foam core technology and advanced engineering to help players compete at the highest level without sacrificing control or consistency.

The LABS Project Boomstik leverages Selkirk’s new BoomCore construction—a PureFoam core surrounded by an EVA Power Ring—to produce 12 percent more power than the average Gen 3 paddle. The design also eliminates core crush, or the degradation of a paddle’s core over time, ensuring long-term durability.
Debuting New Tech with LABS Project Boomstik
The paddle also debuts Selkirk’s Moment of Inertia (MOI) Tuning System, a perimeter weighting technology that optimizes mass distribution for a larger sweet spot and increased stability on off-center hits. This system enhances forgiveness without requiring aftermarket modifications like lead tape.

Top professional players, including Jack Sock and Catherine Parenteau, are already using the LABS Project Boomstik in their game because it offers a competitive edge in an increasingly aggressive playing environment. In preliminary tests, Parenteau was able to serve at 65 mph, while Sock reached speeds of 78.
“This is an insane paddle. Honestly, everyone better watch out,” Sock said. “This, for me, is by far the best paddle to date.”
Available in elongated and widebody shapes, the Boomstik is priced at USD $333 and is offered exclusively through Selkirk.com and select authorised LABS retailers. Purchases include a USD $33 LABS Feedback Credit for players who share insights on their experience.
