India’s Global Sports has always looked for ways to grow pickleball. Whether through its 360-degree ecosystem, expert coaching, or flagship events, the organisation’s vision remains the same: global expansion.
True to that vision, Global Sports has now joined the Association of Pickleball Players (APP), Canadian National Pickleball League (CNPL), European Pickleball Federation (EPF), Australia’s National Pickleball League (NPL), Pickleball England, and Vietnam’s Pickleball D-Joy to form the Global Pickleball Alliance. The aim of this alliance is to accelerate the sport’s growth across continents, from Asia to Europe, and the Americas.
Among many things, the Global Pickleball Alliance will unite pickleball leaders to establish:
- A cohesive, non-overlapping event schedule
- An integrated worldwide ranking framework
- Graduated prize pools, and enhanced business partnerships
- Funding for scholarships
These initiatives are designed to create career pathways and financial rewards for elite and emerging professionals worldwide.
A Unified Global Pickleball Event Calendar
At the heart of the alliance is a year-round calendar of at least 30 tournaments starting in 2026. This unified schedule expands international opportunities for players, from Canada to Vietnam, India to England, and Australia to the United States.
The seven founding organisations have coordinated to prevent scheduling conflicts, maximising competition opportunities. Tournaments, specifically, will be structured into three tiers, each offering progressive prize pools and ranking points.
Unified Rankings System and Supporting the Future of International Pickleball
Events on the unified calendar will not only provide top-level competition, but also feed into a new global rankings system for professional players being developed by all seven partners. Launching with the 2026 season, the system will ensure players compete on an equal footing, regardless of location.
Alliance members will also collaborate on commercial opportunities for players and events, including sponsorship, revenue sharing, and unified governance. With this first group of global leaders, support for pickleball’s future has never been stronger.
The alliance and world tournament schedule are open to additional organisations, further strengthening the sport’s global potential.
