Admit it, you want to test your skills against others in a tournament setting. The problem is it can be a bit nerve-racking and a tad overwhelming. And, let’s face it, it can be hard to find a competition for beginners.

Well, if you’re looking for one, the Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MICCI), JCI Entrepreneur Metropolitan KL, and Champions have got you covered!

Recently, the MICCI, JCI, and Champions announced the MICCI x JCI EMKL x Champions Pickleball Championship—a one-of-a-kind event bringing together professionals, change-makers, and pickleball lovers for some friendly (and fierce!) competition. The tournament, which promises an electrifying day of sports, networking, and community spirt, will be held on 2 September 2025 from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m at Cave by PP Club (Pickleball & Padel Court) in Jalan Ampang.

The MICCI x JCI EMKL x Champions Pickleball Championship will feature mixed doubles for players with a DUPR rating of below 3.0. It is aims to entice a total of 32 teams, with a registration fee set at RM200 per pair. The winners will take home medals and a cash prize of RM1,000, with the second-placers earning medals, too, alongside RM800 in cash. The bronze medallists will get medals as well, plus a cash prize of RM500.

Prizes will be sponsored by YB Dato’ Dr. Seri Wee Jeck Seng

Aside from exciting mixed doubles action, participants can also expect the following:

  • Skill clinics and guided games for newcomers
  • Sponsored goodies
  • Refreshments and networking opportunities
  • Community showcase with JCI EMKL and MICCI

So, whether you’re swinging your first paddle or aiming for gold, this is your chance to be part of Malaysia’s most dynamic pickleball championship of the year.
